A Mother's Day Tribute: For Women Who Are In The Waiting...
I was in a store earlier today and this sweet young girl (probably four years old) was helping her dad pick out a UGA shirt for her mom...
Welcome to my blog! I'm so glad you stopped by. This topic of "waiting well" is one that God put on my heart two years ago, and I realized it's a topic we don't talk about much and maybe we should. After all, we're all waiting for something right? But how do we "wait well" and find peace in those seasons?
Let me be the first to tell you though, I am NOT an expert on waiting well! That's my goal, but I'm not there yet. I am an expert though on WAITING. You may be too. If the words in here resonate with you at all, I hope you'll join me on this journey. Life is hard enough to navigate alone.
So who is Carolyn?
I'm originally from Richmond, VA but have lived in Atlanta, GA for over 20 years now. Formerly a 2nd grade teacher, I've now worked at The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation since 2001. We have given over $69 million in college scholarships to over 6,100 high school seniors since 1989, and we stay in touch with them throughout their lives. As the Alumni Relations Manager, I have an amazing job where I get to work with this network of talented men and women who are truly changing the world! (I know, pinch me).
I'm also a proud aunt of five (4 nieces and 1 nephew). I love to cook, write poetry (Dr. Seuss style), travel, exercise and I often have a camera in my hand to capture those special moments. I'm relational, an intentional connector, an encourager, a gift-giver, tender-hearted, a rule-breaker at times, curious, fun and love to laugh.
But most of all, I'm a child of God and follower of Jesus. I love studying different cultures and learning about what God is up to in other countries, especially Spain. I go to the best church (Passion City) and serve on the resources team at our Cumberland campus. So you'll hear me refer to God often in here. If that would normally turn you off, I hope you'll stick with me. I just want to encourage you in whatever season you're in as well and spread His love somehow through these posts.
As you read these posts, please comment, good or bad, so I know if you are relating to anything I talk about in here. Now let's get started!

Our response when life doesn't turn out as planned.
This is for anyone who is waiting on something. It's for the dreamers, the doubters, the seekers, the lonely, the lost, the found, the brave, the weary. It's for people like you and me.
Thanks for your interest in Waiting Well. For more information, feel free to get in touch and I will get back to you soon!
